Valerie Walker is an artist/graphic designer living in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Valerie has a BA in Studio Art from Kent State University 1996. While there she focused on printmaking and painting. She participated the Kent Blossom Art Program in 1994 and 1995. Her first love was always graphic design and went back to college to the University of Akron and received her BFA in Graphic Design in 2002.
She is currently using her talent in digital marketing. Promoting a restaurant, Papa Joe's on Instagram and Facebook, while maintain their website, ads, and menus.
Valerie has participated in various group shows at Studio 2091, including the recent “Energy Dome Show”. Her work included in The Pink Eye Magazine “Big Book of Collage” 2010. Recently she has been a part of the Nine Muses Art Gallery “At First Glance”. She will have you first solo show August 8 thru August 29 at Studio 2091 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio
Color and the process are important aspect to Valerie’s art. Her work can be simply stated as the way color interact with each other, and the feelings that they can invoke. Influences are extremely varied from surrealist, colorfield, abstract expression and the pop art of Andy Warhol. She continues to experiment with different process and experimental processes of printmaking. Valerie enjoys photography and continues to freelance as a graphic designer.
